Leadership has always been personal.
Her perspective on leadership was not formed only in classrooms, boardrooms, or books. It was built through owning businesses, developing leaders, working with teams, speaking from stages, navigating change, taking risks, starting over, succeeding, failing, learning, and discovering that some of the most valuable lessons—and even some of the greatest opportunities—can come directly from our failures.
For Katia, leadership has always been personal. It is about responsibility. It is about recognizing that life is not simply happening to us. Life is happening for us, and we are participating in creating what comes next. And when we become willing to be responsible for what we choose, what we tolerate, what we believe, what we repeat, and what we allow to lead us, we begin creating the life we actually want.
Born and raised in France, Katia came to the United States without speaking English and went on to build a life, a career, and multiple businesses. Today she speaks French and English fluently and brings a deeply human, cross-cultural perspective to leadership and transformation. Her own life has repeatedly shown her that where we begin does not have to determine where we end.
The work behind the words
Her career has included owning and building businesses, coaching for more than a decade, developing leaders, leading teams, facilitating transformational leadership programs, creating a podcast, and speaking on stages as a keynote speaker.
One of those stages became a defining moment for her. Years ago, on her birthday, Katia stood on a stage in Manhattan at a women's conference and spoke to a room full of people. There was something about that moment that felt different. She had spent years building, learning, stretching, reinventing herself, and finding her voice. Standing there in New York City, doing the work she felt called to do, she had a profound sense that she had arrived—not at the end of anything, but at a place she once could not have imagined for herself.
It was one of those moments when your life seems to turn around and quietly say, Look how far you have come.
And yet Katia's work has never been about arrival. It has always been about transformation. She is known for going beyond techniques, motivational language, and surface-level performance. Her work asks people to look underneath the result and examine the beliefs, habits, fears, commitments, relationships, choices, and hidden patterns that are creating it.
Katia also took an unconventional path through education. Later in life, while already building a career and raising a family, she returned to college and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts with honors at age forty-four. That experience became another expression of something she has taught for years: our past does not get to determine the size of our future.
She is the author of Success Is a Dance and Successful but Unhappy. What and Who Is Leading You? is her third book.
